Labour Day Week/End

Labour Day Week ...

Here we are just around the corner from Labour Day 2020!

And - 6 months since Covid 19 changed the world,
"Normal" everyday things seem to happen yet with an odd "Not Normal" feeling.
I've tried to stay focused and distracted.

These two little humans help me see the joy in life!

Preserving has been a good distraction as well.

Zucchini Relish - done!

Roasted plum tomatoes - so many tomatoes this year!

Tomatoes and Onions from my garden, Niagara Peaches, and gifted pears!

sourdough cinnamon buns - addictive

Sourdough baking - too much sourdough baking - eek!

Sourdough Focaccia Success!

Possibly my best loaves so far?

Last of the lazy dayz of summa' with ice-cream on the deck?

A Labour Day Sunday outing to Goderich
for a delicious fish and chips lunch.

Chili lime salt and cider vinegar - yum!

There's a definite chill in the air .....

My heart is heavy for two dear friends who have recently
been diagnosed with inoperable cancer ...

Fall of 2020 - what do you hold for us as we cautiously see the end of
the longest March break in history!

Please be gentle ...

Till next time ... holding on -  to the joys in life - to the peace that passes all understanding!

  1. Such news is always unsettling. May you be optimistic and hopeful in spite of the troubling news. We must live our best lives even in 2020. Those precious grands are darling. Is your little grandgirlie a good driver? So many youngsters are learning how to drive on their little cars. A tractor is a wonderful vehicle. You sure are staying busy with all that food preservation. Those breads are works of art! Stunning!

    1. Hi Vee - Noa is getting on to the padeling but little Sully's legs are just a tich too short to reach them. Our problem here is that there is no pavement and it's harder to peddle on the gravel so they go in circles on the back patio. Good exercise though.

Hope for the Season

First Snow! November 14-16 held some "bench visits" with the Leis family, to commemorate that day/week 3 years ago! We miss him ...
